Conference Dates: November 5-8, 2014
The 47th Annual IVLA Conference was hosted by the Toledo Museum of Art with the theme The Art of Seeing: From Ordinary to Extraordinary.
The conference was a huge success with speakers from across the US and internationally. Keynotes included Professor David Howes, artist Magdalene Odundo, plastic surgeon Joseph M. Rosen and former MoMA education director Phillip Yenawine.
Our hosts, Toledo Museum of Art, lead by Director Brian Kennedy, are a world-class institution with not only an incredible collection but also a highly innovative visual literacy education programme.
