Dr. Rhonda Robinson IVLA Conference Student Scholarship
The IVLA will award several IVLA conference scholarships in 2020 to enable students who lack financial support to have an opportunity to attend the conference. The IVLA will select applicants who are enrolled at a college or university. Individual scholarships will include IVLA membership for two years. One of the awards is reserved for a minority student.

Call for Editors- Book of Selected Readings
The publication has served as an important reference point for current research and issues concerning visual literacy. Besides providing seasoned scholars with an outlet for their work, one of the goals of this volume is to enable new scholars to publish their studies.
We are looking to fill the following positions: Editor-in-Chief (3-year term, 2021-2023), Associate Editor (3-year term, 2020-2022), and two Assistant Editors (3-year term, 2020-2022)

The European Network for Visual Literacy (ENViL)
ENViL has been invited by the International Visual Literacy Association (IVLA) and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Visual Literacy (JVL) to edit a Special Issue on Learning in the domain of Visual Literacy. Dr. Andrea Kárpáti and Diederik Schönau have been designated as Guest Co-Editors. Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract (minimum 1000, maximum 1500 words ) in Word to both Guest Editors by October 31, 2020

The Book of Selected Readings (TBSR) is a peer-reviewed, annual IVLA publication selected primarily from papers based on the annual conference presentations. The publication has served as an important reference point for current research and issues concerning visual literacy. Besides providing seasoned scholars with an outlet for their work, one of the goals of this volume is to enable new scholars to publish their studies. TBSR is inclusive and serves as a place for scholars to publish their research, promote their work, and connect with their audience.
